The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Biodun Omoleye has stressed the need for Old students to always support their alma mater and ensure that their impact is felt.
He stated this at the inaugural meeting of the 1973-1978 Set of Omuo Comprehensive High School, Omuo Ekiti at the School Multipurpose Hall on Saturday.
Hon. Omoleye who was full of appreciation to God, emphasized the need for old Students to give back to the school that made them as a way of appreciating the social and psychological transformation they enjoyed during their school days.
” We must give glory to God.It gladdens my heart we can be meeting like this again. More than four decades ago,we bade this citadel of learning goodbye, today we are meeting, no doubt, a lot of waters have passed under the bridge. It is therefore a thing of joy that you and I are alive to witness a great reunion of this kind”. He said
He advised them to use thier wealth of experience to mentor the young once. “We cannot do everything but we can mobilize support to transform the school. A thousand miles journey start with a step.”
Hon Omoleye, a member of the set, admonished the school authority to continue to build the students in character not only in learning “In our days we were used to Excellence, they should mould them because when everything fails your character will stand for you and that is what we are enjoying today.”He added.
Also Speaking, Mr Ojuko Babatunde the Senior Prefect of the set acknowledged them for embracing the forum and apreciated them for thier various contributions on their platforms.
He implore them to make robust contributions that will enable them fashion out their laudable plans for the development of the school.
