The campaign, themed: “Connecting at the Roots, Connecting Communities through Digital Tools”, aims at bridging the digital divide and promoting digital inclusion in the Isolo public library and its environs.

The Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Mr. Tolani Sule, represented by the Director, Lagos State Library Board, Mr. Asimiyu Amoo Oyadipe, affirmed the positive impact MTN Y’ello Initiative will have on residents, students and users of Isolo Public Library.

He reiterated that the initiative by MTN will promote academic excellence and technology advancement among students and youths in the Isolo community, which will positively complement the efforts of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s administration, leveraging the third pillar of the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda, which is Education and Technology.

The Commissioner, however, appealed to MTN Y’ello Care Campaign organisers to extend the laudable gesture to other public libraries across the five divisions in Lagos State.

Speaking on behalf of the organisers, the General Manager, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Management, Mr. Adeola Oduntan emphasised the impact Y’ello Care Initiative has made over the years since its inception 18 years ago. “We are committed to giving back to the community in addition to what we do through the foundation”, he said.

The General Manager commended the collaboration and support of Lagos State Government, through Lagos State Library Board, for partnering with MTN which he described as invaluable!
