The Ekiti House of Assembly member (APC \u2013 Ido-Osi II), Yomi Ayorinde has assured his constituents of improvement in their standard of living.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ayorinde gave the assurance on Wednesday, 13th December during constituency engagement with political leaders, and opinon molder in Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He solicited the support of the constituency for the state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji to continue the \u201cgood works\u201d which he had started in the state.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ayorinde promised to partner the state government in the provision of infrastructure, while he used the opportunity to reel out the achievements of the 7th assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Stephen Aribasoye.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The achievements, according to Ayorinde, include: Passing into law the supplementary appropriation bill 1,<\/p>\n
Enactment of Ekiti state Sports commission law 2023, Enactment of Ekiti state Development and investment promotion Agency 2023, Enactment of Ekiti state Power Sector law 2023 and<\/p>\n
Passage of supplementary appropriation bill 2, among other life changing motions during the period.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The lawmaker urged them to unite for the peace and progress of the constituency, the local government, and state in particular.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“I want to appreciate you for your support since we are elected and inaugurated and assure you of my readiness to key into positive policies and programmes that will have a direct bearing on the lives of the people of my constituency and the state at large.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“I also want to assure you and other people of the constituency of inclusive administration, sound, quality and effective representation, to take our constituency and the state at large to the next level of development,”he said.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ayorinde, a former board member, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) solicited for their support to enable him succeed in the task ahead.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He further called on the people of his constituency to support government at all levels so as to enable them to enjoy more dividends of democracy.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mr Oyeniyi Adebayo, the State Commissioner for Budget, congratulated the lawmaker for identifying with his constituency and on his successful inauguration as a member of the state legislative arm.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Adebayo assured the lawmaker of his prayers and support at all times.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“We are grateful to you and the state government for the actualisation of our dream in Ido-Osi Local Government Area of the state,”he said.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Mr Gbenga Agbeyo, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, appealed to the legislator to assist the youths in providing appointments and employment for the overall development of the constituency and the state.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He said, “good things always start with one person at a particular time and it will be on record that our honourable has come back to his constituency to ask of your requirements and needs, and my mind is saying your time will be far better than your sourcessors.”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Leaders from each community who took their turn to present their expectations, including: Messrs Ajenibode and Oladimeji Ayodeji from Ayetoro.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They urged the lawmaker to assist in the reconstruction of their township roads, especially the one from Garage to Alayetoro Palace and Oke Uro to Iloro Road, in Ayetoro-Ekiti through the kabiyesi’s palace, as well as Solar street lights.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Speakers on behalf of Usi-Ekiti, Ilogbo-Ekiti, Usi-Ekiti and Osi-Ekiti, individually urged the lawmaker to assist in rehabilitation of roads, Erosion control and solar power borehole in their communities.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The constituency used the opportunity to thank the Governor for releasing local government allocation in full, giant Stride in education, prompt payment of wages and visible improvement in all areas.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Other leaders at the meeting include: Messrs Peter Abiodun, Kayode Aina, Babatunde Odetola and Akin Oso.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Others are: Messrs Femi Bobade, Dele Omoleye, Tunde Dada, David Ogunkolade, and Soji Agunbiade.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They spoke glowingly about Yomi Ayorinde for bringing this new innovation to the constituency. The practice in the past is just gathered, eat and drink without any meaningful discussion .<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“We must not relent in the struggle to make life more abundant for our people through the implementation of the administration’s agenda.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
“We enjoined our governor not to relent in seeking the best for us, not minding those intimidated by his achievements and increasing popularity.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cOn behalf of the people of our constitiency, particularly, our representative, Hon Yomi Ayorinde, we thank our governor, on the achievements since assumption of office.<\/p>\n
